School of Entrepreneurship & Management came into existence in the year 2023, when STEP-HBTI established in 1986 by Government of India to promote entrepreneurship in technology graduates, which also became a leading management institute in the region running under the aegis of AKTU, Lucknow was amalgamated into its parent body Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), Kanpur. STEP – HBTI in the field of management education had been working for the last 19 years as an apex organization in the region. It has successfully transformed number of engineers and technologists into management professionals & entrepreneurs. The alumni of the institute are highly placed in various industrial, government and private sector undertakings.
STEP-HBTI, after successfully running for nearly two decades, has 2000 plus alumni database, well-stocked library, computer Lab, adequately equipped infrastructure facility and intellectual capital. The erstwhile STEP-HBTI along with all the above-mentioned amenities, facilities and experienced faculty would now function under the umbrella of its parent body as “School of Entrepreneurship & Management” (SEM) at HBTU, Kanpur. |
