Appointment, Responsibilities and Powers as per HBTU Act 2016

  • The Dean of Continuing Education and Internal Quality Assurance shall be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor, from amongst the Professors of the University. The emoluments, terms and conditions of service and powers and duties shall be st1ch as maybe laid down in the Ordinances, He shall work directly under the control of the Vice Chancellor.
  • He shall hold office for a term of two years and may be eligible for re-appointment for one consecutive term.
  • He shall be responsible for Internal Quality Assurance and Continuing Education.
  • He shall be responsible for overall admmistrat1on of University Hospital through its Chief Medical Officer.
  • He shall get comments from reputed industries of concerned fields for review or change in syllabi of the courses of study to Academic Council in various departments.
  • He shall visit faculty chambers, classes and laboratories and other entities and write to University Building &Works Committee and others, with information to Vice Chancellor, for removal of observed deficiencies.

Internal Quality Assurance

The Dean (CE&IQA) is entrusted with the responsibility of devising feedback mechanism, executing the same and finally analyzing as well.The feedback is taken in a manner so as to ensure that the students/Employer/Alumni give their feedback/rating without any apprehension so that improvement, if any can be made.

The Centre for Continuing Education Programme

The University may, under such conditions as may be prescribed to establish a Centre for Continuing Education Programme for the purpose of providing certificate courses, to persons otherwise eligible for admission to such courses, who may be unable to be enrolled as whole time students by reasons of being engaged in business, trade, agriculture or industry or employed in any other form of service. It shall be under the Dean of Continuing Education and Internal Quality Assurance.

Hospital Administration

The University maintains an outdoor patient dispensary in east campus with a Medical Officer to look after the health of students and staff. Serious cases are referred to LLMR hospital and other reputed hospitals for immediate treatment.
It shall be under the Dean of Continuing Education and Internal Quality Assurance.
