Appointment, Responsibilities and Powers as per HBTU Act 2016 |
- The Dean of Planning and Resource Generation shall be nominated by the Vice Chancellor, from amongst the Professors of the University. The emoluments, terms and conditions of service and powers and duties shall be such as may be laid down in the Ordinances. He shall work directly under the control of the Vice Chancellor.
- He shall hold office for a term of two years and shall not be eligible for reappointment for consecutive term.
- He shall also be responsible for promoting consultancy and making testing facility available to industry in various departments of University.
- He shall also be responsible for Placement Cell of the University for Placement of the University students.
- He shall be responsible for interaction with Alumni of the University as Coordinator of Alumni Cell and shall motivate them for contributing to resource generation for the University.
- He shall also be responsible for filing Patents and intellectual property rights (IPR) on behalf of University, generated by students, teachers, alumni and incubators of the University.
- A formal committee consisting of all the Head of Departments, the Dean of Planning and Resource Generation shall be responsible for:- (a) resource generation in order to increase the revenue for the University (b) for preparation of planning and other strategies for new policies and mechanisms for welfare of the University and its students.

Training and Placement Cell of the University in coordination with all the Schools of the University organizes finishing schools, mock interviews and GDs, expert lectures etc. through out the year. Dean, Planning and Resource Generation of this University is responsible for Training T&P Placement Cell of the University. Dean, Planning and Resource Generation is assisted by two Placement Coordinators and Departmental Placement Coordinators. A separate dedicated building equipped with all state-of the-art facilities and other infrastructure is being conducted.
