Rain water harvesting system is adequately placed in the University. More than half of the area of University is open and direct percolation of rainwater takes place. Apart from this, there are underground tanks at various buildings that collect the rain water from roof-top of the academic blocks. The University has natural ponds that collect the rain water which run-off during the rains. Groundwater recharge from the pond takes place for rest of the period throughout the year. Water from the pond recharges the groundwater. Also, a vast area is open which also conserves the water and provide a natural recharging of water.
