The Institution has facilities for alternate sources of energy and energy conservation measures

The University has replaced all the traditional bulbs, tube lights in both the campuses, hostels, labs, offices and departments from power efficient LED’s, air conditioners and ceiling fans. Solar water heaters are already available in the student hostels and PNG piped gas in likely to replace the traditional coal furnaces of the mess in various hostels very soon. Apart from the above, the University is planning to install Roof-top solar system to become self-reliant in power generation.
