TAGORE CENTRAL LIBRARY

Rabindranath Tagore (born May 7, 1861, Calcutta [now Kolkata], India—died August 7, 1941, Calcutta), Bengali poet, short-story writer, song composer, playwright, essayist, and painter who introduced new prose and verse forms and the use of colloquial language into Bengali literature, thereby freeing it from traditional models based on classical Sanskrit. He was highly influential in introducing Indian culture to the West and vice versa, and he is generally regarded as the outstanding creative artist of early 20th-century India. The Tagore Central Library of university is rich in learning resources having a strong back up multidisciplinary resources like books, journals, e-books, e-journals, online learning resources,database andanti-plagiarism software . The Library provides open access system to its users. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Shodhganga of INFLIBNET, body of UGC, makes enriching experience of researcher of the university.

  • Subscription of J-Gate, IEEE ,Springer Nature ,ACS and Database Web of Science
  • Providing photocopy facility for users for the journals, reference books and magazines etc.
  • Having Spiritual books collection i.e. Vedas, Geeta , and Quran etc.
  • Full Time Wi- Fi for all users.
  • Computer and internet facility for users with 25 systems.
  • Facilitates soothing environment for students in Central Library.
  • Online Public access Catalogue (OPAC) as inventory as well as retrieval tool for the users about our collection in Central Library.
